The top of the cliff that makes the Southern Eyrie is that of a barren plateau. It is here that Simourvs, Kamrovs, and humans alike can keep watch for an impending koxi attack. It has been known for kamrovs and their handlers to train for races and combat. Many meetings with the Senior and Junior Phoenixes and Commanders are held during the night up on the top of the Eyrie, and the area is blocked off, too keep curious eyes and ears away from the plans of the queen.

The grouded caverns of the Eyrie are the homes and workplaces of those not destined to become Riders. Commonfolk, Crafters, and traders alike all live in their separate caverns, with tunnels connecting the open mouth of the cavern to the main rooms. The Crafter’s workspace is usually in the open cavern, but some, like the weavers, can be found deeper in. These caves are usually the first place newcomers go to, since many a helpful soul lives there.

No New Posts Dining Hall and Stores

With the exception of Simourvs, Kamrovs, and other animals, the Dining Hall is where the entire population of the Eyrie eats. With the exception of the Eylings and Nesting Sands, the Dining Hall is the biggest cavern in the cliff face. Tables line the walls and make isles in the middle of the expansive area, and these are lined by dozens upon dozens of chairs. The rear is a giant kitchen, separated from the main dining area by serving counters. Torches and hearths light up the hall when the sunlight no longer reaches it.

Located a fair distance away from the farm and garden, the feeding corral is where the Simourvs, Kamrovs, and other carnivorous beasts enjoy their meals. Assorted cows and goats roam the area, and are resupplied at a steady rate from the barns. They are naturally skittish around the hulking creatures, but the sturdy fences keep them from fleeing their doom’s clutches. The area is large to accommodate the many Grays, and there is often multiple workers there to haul away the bloodless carcasses during Flights so the meat does not go to waste.

No New Posts Eyrie Gardens and Farms

The Eyrie gardens and farms are the most peaceful places in the entire Eyrie. The only people that go there on a regular basis are the herders and gardeners. Assorted fruits and vegetables grow in the gardens, with wildflowers sprayed about to give it a lush feel. The farms hold all the large domesticated animals, as well as the pregnant animals that are to go to the feeding corrals. Candidates are asked to keep the fences and stables well-kept as one of their multiple chores. Simourvs are not allowed near the farms and stables, but are free to lay in the long grasses and under the expansive tree in between the gardens and farms.

Many caves dot the face of the cliff, and have been transformed into what are now known as eylings. A good majority of the Eylings face inwards, away from the ocean. However, there are a few that have a seafront view. Different sizes accommodate for different sized Simourvs, and each are personally furnished to meet the Rider’s needs. Tunnels connect the eylings together, and large communal pools are found in chambers between the caves.

A short distance from the cliff face containing the eylings around the bay, a series of small caverns rest. Removed from the water, the cliffs are quite hot, as they receive no sea breeze and are also heated by thermal energy. Many of the chambers in the caverns are designated as rooms for winglet pairs. Most of the rooms branch off from a central passage, but where that central path expands to a full chamber, some green and blue pairs live, so that other winglet pairs must pass through those rooms in order to travel deeper into the caverns. Under the ground below the Winglet Caverns are the Lesser Sands and the Geothermal Pools.

No New Posts Underground Tunnels

The winding tunnels that burrow their way throughout virtually the entirety of the Eyrie are home of the kamrovs. Both the fully-grown Racers and the still-training Runners live here. Openings towards the sea and the main entrance let stale air out and fresh air in, while meticulously placed beams keep the tunnels from caving in. Each tunnel branches off at seemingly random places into hollows, which are then transformed into rooms.

This is where the hopeful Candidates, be it for Simourv or Kamrov, reside. Upon entering the building, a foyer with a few chairs, tables, and other assortments leads to two hallways. One hallway is exclusively for boys, the other exclusively for girls. Inside a room is a set of bunkbeds, two chests, two chairs, and a small table. It is custom that Kamrov candidates room with fellow Kamrov candidates, and Simourv with Simourv. It is expected of the teenagers to cope with a roommate.

Nestled deep within the cliff face, the Nesting Sands can accommodate a vast number of eggs. Ledges dot the walls of the large cavern, where onlookers can enjoy the Hatchings. Heat from deep under the Eyrie has been directed to the rocky floor, which is covered by a sea of sand. Foliage can sometimes be found littering the dip from the females that prefer nesting.

This is where many of the kamrov events occur, with the most popular being races. It is a round earthen track, beaten by many years of kamrov feet pushing for victory. There are enough lanes for up to five kamrovs to race at one time, and people can place bets on who they think will win in a particular heat. There are a total of three rounds, with the winners of the five heats in the first round going up against each other in the second, and if there seems to be a tie, the tying kamrovs go against each other in the tie-breaking third round.

The Post Office seems the most advanced structure in the Eyrie. It’s a rather small building, housing only the postal worker and his or her Kamrov during a particular shift and the bagged mail. Letters, packages, and parcels come and go here, each transported by Kamrov to its destination. Mail usually leaves once a week, since the amount of mail is enough for just one Kamrov to easily carry. It is also a popular place for Kamrov handlers to congregate and chat.

The Northern Quarter of Baziala is the most densely forested area, and most of the deep jungle regions occur here. While the Northern region of the country has the most jungle, most of it is just tropical forests. The unusual coastal forests of Baziala are in the North. Even though most of the North is not occupied, the largest town in Baziala is here, Estya, which is an up and coming port town. If you want to roleplay in a town in this area, please post it here.

The Western Quarter of Baziala is the most hilly and mountainous. In fact, the high mountains at the top of the Western Quarter create the vast desert in the South. The coastal areas of the Western Quarter is mostly rock cliffs. If you want to roleplay in a town in this area, please post here.

The open air above Baziala is crisp and warm year-round, and only the adept Riders and Simourvs are found here. It isn’t often when a Rider traverses far from the Bazialan shores. For the most part, the climate above-ground is clear, but there are the occasional hurricanes that crash against the rocky cliffs. A female Simourv taking Flight with suitors not far behind is not an unfamiliar sight.

Not too far away from the main Eyrie, warm waters rise up onto equally warm beach shores and small cliffs. The bay is a popular place for Riders and Simourvs alike; it is rather relaxing and a great place for bonding. Large trees bearing Baynuts grow in abundance, and the nut’s flesh is used to protect the Simourvs when they swim so that their feathers do not catch water and drag them down.

No New Posts Deep Jungles

The deep jungles of Baziala are rarely explored alone. With carnivorous plants and the threat of koxi, going in without any protection is considered suicide. Wild Kamrov packs that prefer to stay away from human civilization can also be found here. It has been known that the Senior Phoenix would send people supposedly guilty of crime there to give an example of what would happen if you attempted to rebel. It is advised that you tell an admin or a mod that you wish to roleplay here beforehand.

The rough outline of the unexplored eastern continent can be seen on the horizons of a clear morning. Nobody dares to go near it, for rumors of koxi the size of grays and soil that could swallow a Simourv within minutes are common. A few daring Riders have attempted the trek; however, all of them have turned tail and fled when they still had the chance. Nobody is allowed to roleplay in this board without prior permission from the staff.
